What comes to mind when you think of yoga? You probably think of young, fit men and women in some sort of inversion pose. But really, yoga is for everyone, and doesn’t have to include extremely physical and taxing movements.

Are you a Crossfit junkie, or just enjoy taking walks with your family? Yoga can be the perfect supplement to your other weekly workouts. Bodybuilders use yoga to reduce stiffness, increase range of motion (ROM) and flexibility, as well as help their body recover from strenuous workouts and reduce their injury rate. Runners use yoga as a way to recover from long, hard workouts. And athletes, both recreational and professional, are incorporating more and more yoga into their training.

By cross-training, you challenge your body in ways sticking to one workout doesn’t. According to the American Council on Exercise, yoga can reduce your risk of injury, improve your total overall fitness and can help you maintain enthusiasm for regular exercise. We also love the fact that yoga helps reduce stress, because let’s be honest, we as a society are stressed.

Incorporating yoga into your workout schedule can greatly improve your regimen and results. By increasing your ROM and flexibility, workouts can become easier. And by using other workouts to increase your heart rate for at least 2030 minutes, you increase your overall health (as well as your heart health), making your yoga practice easier.

We would love to become part of your workout routine. Whether that’s in an office setting, or home setting, we can help meet your individual needs, on your schedule. We design our classes to help you restore your body, according to your goals and fitness level.
